What is World News?

world news

World news is a broad term for news about a country or global subject that can be either sent by foreign correspondents or – since the advent of distance communication technologies – collected through specialized research. It’s one of the primary specializations in journalism (although it can also be a subfield for reporting on specific subjects such as war).

The major news agencies prepare articles that they then sell to news organizations, such as newspapers, magazines, radio and television. These articles are typically delivered in bulk over electronic services, which are often referred to as wires. Individuals, corporations, governments and intelligence agencies may also subscribe to these services.
